14.) 'Behold, the days are coming,' says the Lord, 'that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah:
15.) 'In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
16.) In those days Judah will be saved, And Jerusalem will dwell safely. And this is the name by which she will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.'
Jeremiah 33:14-16 (KJV)
Promises are not meant to be broken, but sadly, sometimes they are. Most often they are never intended to be broken, but sometimes it just happens. Once when I was younger I made a promise to my friend. We were playing with a rubber band and stretching it out, and she made me promise not to let go of it so it wouldn't come at her and snap against her skin. I promised I wouldn't but when I got to a certain point I did what any kid would do. I let go. I thought it was funny at the time, and in the end it didn't hurt my friend all that much because we weren't that far enough to make it hurt, but that's not the point. The point is that I broke my promise. And breaking a promise is breaking a promise no matter how small of a promise it is.
God doesn't break his promises.
God is someone you can count on in anything. He does many things for us and blesses us even when we don't deserve it. If it were me and God down there playing with a rubber band and I made Him promise not to let go, what do you think He would do?
He wouldn't let go.
When God promises something He doesn't break it. He comes through with His promises. You may be asking what God promises are and the answer is right in your Bible. God put all of His promises in there. All you have to do is read it and you will find them. But that won't be the only thing you'll find. You'll also find something else. You'll find fulfilled promises. Some of the promises He's made haven't come through yet, and that's because it's not yet time. But those other promises? They're fulfilled. You can bet they are fulfilled.
Because God fulfills His promises we must do the same in return. Whatever promises we make to the Lord, we need to fulfill them. I can't think of something worse than making a promise to our Creator and not following though with it. I hope today you thank God for His promises and take time to fulfill the ones you've made to Him.

1.) And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2.) And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3.) And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4.) But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5.) And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
6.) The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7.) And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8.) And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9.) They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
10.) And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isaiah 11:1-10 (KJV)
Verse two is an important verse to me. It says: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. The reason this verse is important to me is because it says that the spirit of the Lord will rest up on us. The spirit of wisdom and understanding. The spirit of counsel and might. The spirit of knowledge of fear of the Lord. When we become saved we understand the Bible and what it means. Yes, there are times that we ask what is going on and what is happening in the passage, but it becomes clear because God gives us an understanding. Take time today to read the Bible and to study it. While you're doing that think about what it means and try to understand what the Lord is telling you.

2.) The people that walked in darkness have seen a great
light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the
light shined.
3.) Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
4.) For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
5.) For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
6.) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7.) Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:2-7 (KJV)
I had trouble understanding what this passage means, so I had to do some research. I looked it up online and because verse five stood out to me I looked into it more. What I found was this:
Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
"Burning and fuel of fire": The world will no longer need the accessories of warfare because a time of universal peace will follow the return of Christ.

Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
The battle they were familiar with was a battle of the flesh. The battle familiar to them had shed blood, and was a noisy battle of physical strength. This battle will be a battle in the spiritual.
Jesus baptizes with fire. His sword is the Word of God. His battle is fought for the soul of man, not for earthly plunder.
Now, when I read this verse, I didn't interpret it at all this way. The way I took it was we are all fighting a battle. Everyday we are. We're resisting temptations and fighting to do what's right and good in the eyes of our Lord. We are the warriors and the "noise" is all the temptations being whispered in our ear. It's hard to resist but with the Lord we'll be able to do it because with the Lord we can do anything.
I hope today you win all the battles you're facing. Just remember the Lord is with you and through Him you can win.

Hello December!
I hope you all had a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving! I spent the day with my family being thankful for all the things that I have.
Today is December first and it's the start of the countdown to the days til Christmas! Everyone has things they do for the countdown and I'm going to share one of mine with you. I've decided to read a sections of Bible verses each day in December from the first to the 24. Today's versus are from 1 John 1:1-5
1.) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2.) (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3.) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4.) And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5.) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
I want to focus in on verse three.

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
Fellowship is a big part of a Christians growth. It's very easy to fall off of the wagon and fall into temptation if we don't fellowship with other Christians. We need to surround ourselves with good, Godly people. They'll help us and keep us inline. By surrounding ourselves with Godly people we in turn will become Godly, and will live in the ways that are right in the Lord's eyes. Not only should we fellowship with other Christians, but we should fellowship with the Lord. Read your Bible and pray everyday, but do more than that. Read, search, understand the Bible. Cling onto what the Lord is telling you. Make a special time in your day to spend with Him, and thank Him for all that he's given you. By fellowshipping with the Lord and his children you will find yourself growing stronger in the Lord everyday.
Best wishes,
The King's Daughter
